I’ve been sustained by fiction for as long as I can remember. From my dad reading me “The Hobbit” before bed, to an endless list of novels and games, I’ve lost an embarrassing number of hours escaping into other worlds. The best though, always feature a heroic Hero Protagonist leaving the comfort of home to face an unbearably large and unknown world all alone.Recently I’ve been craving that moral black and whiteness of fiction, the ability to simply gear up and vanish to seek your fortune. For this collection I was inspired by the evolution of modern arms and armaments, as well as the fictional. For this collection I wanted to give the girls some of that signature protagonist protection. clothing to me has always been a little part self expression, a little part costume. It should represent who you are yes, but also who you’d like to be and shield you until you get there.
